The entire system, excluding the subwoofer and deep cell battery, can fit inside a medium-sized backpack, a Kelty Brisbane (Storm 2400) weighing .90 Kg and having a capacity of 2400 cubic inches (6,096 cubic cm). The full backpack weighs 15.58 Kg.

If the terrain will accommodate wheels, the subwoofer and battery can be put on an airline carry-on luggage roller that weighs approximately 2 Kg. If the terrain is

Rough, the subwoofer and battery can be placed in a large backpack duffel bag, which weighs 39.4 kg when full.

 

Equipment costs

The Statham Radio Microphone can be purchased for $300. The Sony TCD-D8 costs approximately $600. Assorted I/O hardware and Polynesia (which will be made available to the public November 2003), is expected to cost approximately $2,000. The entire playback package, including speakers and amplifiers, can be purchased for about $1,000. Prices of portable computers vary; however, Polynesia operates on a Compaq Presario 1200, which can be obtained for $1,200.
